Privacy Policy
Glint processes everything locally in your browser. We do not collect, transmit, store, or share any of your data. There is no server, no analytics, no telemetry, no account.
What Glint does
Glint is a Chrome extension that scans text you type or paste into supported AI chat interfaces (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and others listed in the extension manifest). It detects patterns that match sensitive data — API keys, passwords, access tokens, private keys, email addresses, and similar credentials — and warns you before that text is sent.
What data Glint accesses
Glint reads the contents of input fields on supported LLM websites only when you are typing or attempting to send a message. This reading happens entirely within your browser. The text never leaves your device.
What Glint does not do
- Glint does not send any data to any server, including servers operated by Digits Digital.
- Glint does not store your prompts, redacted output, or detection history.
- Glint does not use cookies, local storage, or any tracking technology.
- Glint does not share data with third parties.
Permissions explained
activeTab: Required so Glint can read and modify the prompt input field on the LLM website you are currently using.
Host permissions (specific LLM domains listed in the manifest): Required so Glint runs only on those AI chat interfaces and nowhere else on the web.
Open source
Glint's source code is publicly available on GitHub. You can verify these privacy claims yourself.
